EPSOM, England, Dec. 28, 2016 — Differential Scanning ColorimeterThe Optical DSC450 Differential Scanning Calorimeter from Linkam Scientific Instruments Ltd. enables simultaneous visualization of thermal processes for improved materials characterization.

The system has been optimized for those wishing to measure the transition temperatures and enthalpy changes of their samples. The design allows mounting of the stage on a microscope, granting image and time-lapse recording of sample transitions with high detail. The system enables the user to measure glass transitions and melting behavior of a wide range of substances while accurately controlling temperature from −196 to 450° C.

The atmosphere of the stage can also be purged with gas as required by the user. A new feature increases the characterization capabilities of the system, combining it with imaging capability.
