SUDBURY, Mass., April 1, 2016 — Methods Machine Tools Inc. has announced the extended-travel 700 Series VisionGauge Digital Comparator manufactured by Visionx Inc.

Digital ComparatorA 24 × 24 × 24-in. envelope with tilt is featured, with rotary axes based in a trunnion configuration, able to accommodate parts weighing up to 100 lbs. The VisionGauge has 5 axes of motion, enabling users to view parts from all sides. It is fully automated and well-suited for the inspection of electrical discharge machining and laser-drilled cooling holes. The device can also automatically verify hole presence.

Its optical system is designed for an extended depth of field and ideal for large, heavy parts in the industrial gas turbine industry.
