AUBURN, Mass., Oct. 28, 2016 — Physik Instrumente LP has announced a four-channel version of its high-performance E-727 digital piezo controllers.

The E-727 is designed for multi-axis nanopositioning applications, such as 3D imaging in super-resolution microscopy, laser beam steering, image stabilization in astronomy and fast alignment applications such as fiber alignment and semiconductor CD testing. In addition to a broad choice of digital high-speed interfaces such as SPI, Ethernet and USB, it also provides three additional high-resolution analog inputs.

Low noise, 20-bit digital to analog converters and analog to digital converters converters provide high resolution and stability. Four integrated piezo power amplifiers with an output range of -30 to 130 V are featured, as well as circuitry for capacitive feedback sensors, piezoresistive sensors and traditional strain gauges.
