MIDDLETOWN, Conn., Aug. 7, 2018 — Digital Variable Impedance TransducerThe digiVIT digital variable impedance transducer from Kaman Precision Products offers a wide array of networking capabilities ideal for industrial Internet of Things applications.

The device is a digital signal conditioner for noncontact linear position and displacement sensing. It is a self-configuring system, which is capable of performing with nearly any sensor from any manufacturer, as well as any conductive target. The transducer also features simple pushbutton calibration, temperature compensation, and zeroing. The digiVIT features scrolling menus for intuitive setup and calibration, as well as Ethernet communication capabilities. In addition, it is capable of detecting when no sensors or shorted sensors are present. The large integral digital display makes it easy for users to read all of the transducer’s information.

Applications include position, vibration, and proximity sensing, along with part sorting, process control, laboratory testing, engine dynamics testing, condition monitoring, and more.
