Siemens.jpgSiemens Medical Solutions has released the Mammomat Novation S, a digital mammography system to improve clinical screening work flow. The system features the syngo-based acquisition workstation for digital storage and transmission, full-field amorphous selenium detectors that convert x-ray energy into an electric charge, computer-aided detection, good detective quantum efficiency, >7-lp/mm spatial resolution, a 24 × 29-cm format and automatic compression plate-based field of view adjustment. The system facilitates the detection of small and low-contrast objects with superior image quality, a shorter exposure and a lower dose.
