The COMPACT EVOLUTION AC industrial diode laser subsystem from Coherent, is an air-cooled 500-W system on a 19-in rack-mountable unit for polymer welding. COMPACT EVOLUTION AC delivers a 300-µm fiber and turnkey operation for applications such as polymer welding, soldering, heat treatment, and laser-assisted bonding. The system uses single-emitter diode laser technology and offers an electrical efficiency >45%. The air-cooling design
removes the need for an external chiller or additional fiber cooling, simplifying installation and maintenance. COMPACT EVOLUTION AC has a near top-hat beam profile with <90% homogeneity.
