Dilas has added 1210- and 1320-nm diode laser bars, expanding its wavelength offerings to between 1 and 2 µm. The specific wavelengths now are 1064, 1210, 1320, 1470, 1550 and 1940 nm. The new laser bars have wall-plug efficiencies of >40%. Based on conduction-cooled diode laser arrays, the fiber-coupled diode laser modules generate output powers of 12, 25, 40 and 100 W using a standard single-core, 600-μm fiber with a numerical aperture of <0.22 and an SMA-905 fiber connector. Suited for integration into OEM equipment, the sealed modules feature options such as power meters, visible pointers, serial fiber interlocks and a user-exchangeable protection window. They have applications in the medical market.
