Diode Laser BarsCoherent Inc. offers diode laser bars for medical applications with high batch-to-batch consistency.

At 1470 nm with a low fill factor, the 35-W CW-rated bar is designed for fiber coupling, optical beam coupling and direct applications. Uses include surgical and aesthetic medical applications, such as urology, lithotripsy, benign prostatic hyperplasia treatment, vascular surgery, endovenous laser treatment, skin rejuvenation and acne treatment.

At 1060 nm, 100-W bars and low-fill-factor 40-W bars are used for surgical and hair-removal applications. The 40-W bars are suitable for applications requiring optical beam combining or fiber delivery, while the 100-W bars provide a cost-effective pathway for high-power applications such as kilowatt-level hair-removal stacks.
