Dilas Industrial Laser Systems’ Mini is an integrated diode laser system based on fiber-coupled modules. Measuring 336 x 144 mm, the system delivers optical output powers of up to 50 W continuous-wave at 980 nm out of a 400-μm fiber and up to 35 W, continuous-wave, out of a 200-μm fiber. Cooling is provided by Peltier elements and air flow. The system can be controlled via either a USB port using the supplied software or by conventional analog and 24-V signals. The system is available as an integratable OEM version without housing or as a housed desktop version. A 5-m-long fiber optic cable and an SMA connector deliver flexible beam guidance to the working area. Applications include selective soldering and welding of plastics.
