Intense Ltd. has unveiled new high-power diode laser products, including the Series 8000 793-mm multimode pump modules. Designed for eye-safe, thulium-doped fiber laser systems, the multiemitter modules provide up to 20 W of output power from a 105-μm-core fiber. The company also has introduced the high-brightness Hermes 650-W Mini Stack, an ultracompact quasi-continuous-wave (QCW) stack with an output of >8 kW/cm2 and operating with ~300-μs pulses. Available in 808- and 940-mm wavelengths, the diodes also can be supplied in custom wavelengths and multicolor options upon request. The Hermes line includes QCW bars, which provide up to 400 W of output power, as well as the QCW 1-, 2- and 3-kW stacks. All Hermes bars and stacked arrays incorporate the company’s quantum well intermixing technology.
