DILAS.jpgDilas Diode Laser Inc. has introduced high-power diode laser modules operating at 1940 nm with wall-plug efficiencies of >10%. With proprietary epitaxy, the modules can be integrated into all Dilas packages, ranging from single-bar configurations to large-scale stack modules, which can include hundreds of bars each. Based on a single diode laser array, the sealed, conduction-cooled, fiber-coupled modules generate output power of 6, 12 and 18 W, using a standard 600-μm fiber bundle with a numerical aperture of <0.22 and an SMA-905 fiber connector. Suitable for integration into OEM equipment, the modules have applications in the medical market.
