VAN NUYS, Calif., April 5, 2021 — Direct Drive Linear ActuatorThe compact SDLM-051-070-01-01 Direct Drive Linear Actuator from Moticont features integrated position and temperature sensors.

This direct drive linear actuator is 2 in. in diameter, with a housing length of 2.75 in. The linear optical quadrature encoder is protected inside the actuator housing and directly connected to the shaft for the greatest possible accuracy. Highest throughputs are achieved by the SDLM-051-070-01-01 when operating at peak efficiency by monitoring the data from the internal temperature sensor. With a stroke length of 0.5 in., a continuous force rating of 7.6 lbs, and a peak force of 24.1 lbs, the noncommutated direct drive servo actuator features a quiet long life, plain linear bearings, an integrated internal 1.25-μm resolution quadrature optical encoder with differential outputs, and a non-rotating shaft.

Applications include manufacturing, sorting and packaging, semiconductor handling, medical devices, procedure tables and instruments, antenna positioning, dampers, door and valve actuators, agricultural equipment, shaking, and adjustable office furniture.
