A new green diode laser with lower cost is now available. This laser has a circular Gaussian beam with high stability and can be modulated by an external voltage source. Optical elements can be integrated into the laser package, making for a compact, low-power device. This module is ideal for microscopy, fluorescence excitation and illumination.
