Dispersive SpectrometersDispersive spectrometers from McPherson Inc. feature expanded sensor compatibility to expand the range of wavelengths and detect mid- and long-wave IR light.

The spectrometers measure and tune specific wavelengths of light, with user-specific diffraction gratings for various applications. With increased utility for spectroscopy and imaging applications in chemistry, biology, aerospace, and defense, the devices are easy to use in the IR range because the devices readily couple to the exit focal plane. Grating groove density and optimum blaze wavelengths range from 0.2 to 20 µm.

Gold, silver, and other optical coatings enhance performance in the IR. They also provide ample, accessible space with a mechanically robust platform for mounting IR arrays.
