Driver Assistance SystemThe second generation of Advanced Driver Assistant Systems from Renesas Electronics Corp. feature up to eight cameras, realizing next-generation electronic mirrors, driver monitoring and surround view systems simultaneously.

The solution kit includes the R-Car Starter Kit Premier automotive software development environment, based on the R-Car H3 system-on-chip, as well as the required sample application software for driver application software development and calibration software to correct distortion of the images for surround view.

The cameras allow developers to collect data from the environment for sensor fusion, a necessary step toward autonomous drive.
