Dual-Inverted Selective Plane Illumination Microscopy
Applied Scientific Instrumentation Inc.Request Info
Applied Scientific Instrumentation (ASI) Inc.’s dual-inverted selective plane illumination microscope generates 3-D volumes with isotropic resolution (330 nm) in all directions.
Axial resolution is approximately two times better than confocal or spinning disk systems, and acquisition rates are up to 200 images per second, or 2 to 5 volumes per second.
The microscope uses conventional mounting and glass cover slips and has multicolor capability. It offers a seven- to tenfold reduction in photobleaching and has been tested on cells cultured on cover slips and embedded in collagen gels, and on nematode and zebra fish embryos.
