Electron Backscatter Diffraction CamerasThe Velocity Electron Backscatter Diffraction (EBSD) camera series from EDAX Inc. now includes the Pro, Plus, and Super models, collecting up to 2,000, 3,000, and 4,500 indexed points/s respectively.

Powered by a CMOS sensor optimized for high-speed EBSD, the Velocity EBSD series provides indexing success rates of 99% or higher. At these speeds, the Velocity Cameras use 120 × 120-pixel patterns for improved band detection. This image resolution, combined with the Triplet Indexing routine, provides orientation precision values of <0.1°.

The devices provide high-speed mapping and accurate indexing to resolve crystallographic microstructures and quickly solve materials characterization challenges.
