ENERGY MEASUREMENT Ophir Optronics Inc. has introduced a pyroelectric head with a high-damage-threshold coating for 193-nm radiation. The PE50HD, designed for energy measurement of excimer lasers, is calibrated for 157 nm and 10.6 µm. The pulse energy head has a measurement range down to 0.5 mJ and noise of <50 µJ. Specifications include linearity of 1% for 0- to 400-µs pulse widths, maximum pulse rate of 100 Hz, calibration accuracy of ±3% at 193 nm and average power of 15 W.
