Ibsen Photonics has announced the Eagle short-wavelength near-IR spectrometer platform for analytical instrument fabrication. Suitable for process control systems, it can be integrated into industrial-grade Raman systems at 785- or 830-nm excitation.

Wide-bandwidth transmission gratings, which are produced in-house, enable the device’s low stray light level and high efficiency. Optical resolution can be as good as 4 cm−1, and the 822- to 978-nm wavelength range enables the 200- to 1700-cm−1 or 600- to 2500-cm−1 Raman ranges. The spectrometer supports both cooled and uncooled back-thinned CCD detectors, and it offers thermally stable operation.
