New Focus, a Newport Corp. brand, has added blue-coated phase modulators covering the 360- to 500-nm-wavelength range to its line of electro-optic modulators.

The modulators are available in standard frequencies from 6.3 to 9.2 GHz. They are suitable for applications in ytterbium ion trapping, laser frequency stabilization, femtosecond laser spectroscopy, and atom trapping and cooling.
