OTTAWA, Ontario, March 14, 2023 — ElectroPhotonic-IC Inc.’s high-speed electro-absorption modulator laser can be used for 800-Gb/s and 1.6-Tb/s modules in datacenter applications.

By integrating optical and electronic elements on the same indium phosphide semiconductor substrate with analog amplification circuitry, performance, and power is increased with lower cost and a reduced module form factor. Module manufacturers can fit eight lasers in a standard 1.6-Tb/s module.
