CAMBRIDGE, Mass., March 7, 2023 — The 110-GHz electro-optic modulators from HyperLight Corp. are packaged with standard fiber and microwave connectors operating at the 1310-, 1550-, and 1600-nm wavelength bands.

They feature low voltage drive, stable biasing, low insertion loss, proven reliability, and operating bandwidths of >110 GHz. Based on high-bandwidth and low-voltage thin-film lithium niobate photonic integrated circuits, the modulators offer environmentally tested operation, ultra-high bandwidth modulation of >125 GHz usable bandwidth, low half-wave voltage, a compact footprint, high extinction ratio, stable direct current biasing, and high optical power handling.
