MONTREAL, Dec. 4, 2017 — The CCCP  electron-multiplying CCD (EMCCD) controller from Nüvü Cameras Inc. is designed for extreme-low-light imaging in a space environment.

Capable of sub-electron readout noise, CCCPs, the introduced space version of the original CCD Controller for Counting Photons, supports all existing EMCCD sensors. CCCPs has been tested and found to meet the requirements in a space-like environment, aiming for integration as an enhanced imaging solution in future space instruments.

The technology enables the detection, characterization and imaging of exoplanets; the search and monitoring of asteroids and space debris; UV imaging; and satellite tracking.
