Trek Inc. has introduced the Model 875 electrostatic voltage sensor designed for in-line monitoring of electrostatic charge build-up.
The sensor offers manufacturers of electrostatic-sensitive devices the ability to monitor production lines and other manufacturing processes in real time, enabling process adjustments to be made to improve production yields and product integrity, according to the company.
The model features a measurement probe with automatic calibration technology. It is designed with DIN packaging, the sensor’s enclosure mounts on 35 mm DIN RAIL. It also offers a voltage measurement range of ± 500 V DC or peak AC, a ± 0.5% accuracy, a speed of 25 ms and a low noise of 2.5% of full scale. Buffered output voltage and current monitors are also provided for remote monitoring and alarm purposes.
Applications include use in semiconductor manufacturing and charge-sensitive processes, including sensitive medical electronics, microelectronics, LCDs, hard disk drives and MEMS.
