CarlZeiss.jpgCarl Zeiss has announced two KS Elispot systems for enzyme-linked immuno spot assay evaluations. Consisting of a microscope, a scanning stage, a camera, a control unit, a computer and software, the systems provide ultrahigh speed and resolution, and are suitable for assessing standard and fluorescent Elispot specimens with minimal adjustments. The standard KS Elispot evaluates each well with a 2 × 2-, a 3 × 3- or a 3 × 4-image array, an advantage over systems that collect one image per well. It uses the Axio Imager microscope fitted with a 2.5× EC Epiplan Neofluar objective lens. An AxioCam MRc integrating digital color camera also can be used, as well as 2.5× and 5x objective lenses to cover the range of one to 12 images per well. The compact KS Elispot uses the Stemi 2000 C stereomicroscope and enables an evaluation in less than four minutes.
