Vayyar Inc. has announced embedded 3D sensors for smart homes. This technology combines multiple capabilities into a single sensor that covers an entire apartment in all light conditions while maintaining privacy. The sensors can be optimized for protecting consumer privacy and safety, from in-home elderly care to maintenance and security. Other applications the embedded 3D sensor capabilities include determining if a person has fallen; the tracking of sleep patterns; activity measurement; breathing and vital sign alerts; the detection of leaks and infrastructure problems; and the monitoring of home perimeters for intruder detection.
