HANOVER, Germany, April 1, 2020 —
End-capped fiber arrays from FiberBridge Photonics GmbH are based on CO2 laser fiber splicing technology.
CO2 laser-based fiber splicing systems can control the position and size of the heating zone for the splicing of single and multiple fibers to optical elements of various sizes and shapes. The ability to control the splicing temperature in real time in the ms range enables precise and repeatable splicing – particularly for complex fiber structures such as large mode area (LMA) and hollow core fibers.
The arrays are designed for high-power applications such as material processing, beam combining, and medicine, as well as the splicing of coated end caps, ball lenses, splitters, and any other optics to the fiber end.
