Endoscope CMOS SensorsThe OH08A and OH08B CMOS image sensors from OmniVision Technologies Inc. are 8-MP resolution sensors for single-use and reusable endoscopes.

The OH08B is the first medical-grade image sensor to use OmniVision’s Nyxel® NIR technology. The OH08A features a 1/2.5-in. optical format, incorporates 1.4-µm PureCel® Plus-S pixel technology and offers 4K2K resolution in a 7.1 × 4.6-mm package, which is ideal for chip-on-tip endoscopes. The OH08B has a 1/1.8-in. optical format, uses a 2-µm PureCel® pixel in an 8.9 × 6.3-mm package and features OmniVision’s Nyxel technology for enhanced visualization in NIR spectral range.
