Euresys’ Open eVision librariesEuresys’ Open eVision libraries in pharma applications. The pharmaceutical industry was one of the first to embrace machine vision. Quality has here always been a chief concern and precise product tracing an unavoidable requirement.

Euresys’ Open eVision image analysis libraries provide system integrators and machine manufacturers with the essential software tools required for these applications.

The new 3D inspection libraries, more particularly Easy3DObject, can automatically extract and measure 3D objects from a Point Cloud or ZMap acquired using various off-the-shelf 3D sensors Easy3D also includes Photometric Stereo algorithms allowing to compute the topography information of an object from several images taken with different lighting conditions. e.g. useful for the inspection of blister packs and various packaging integrity inspection applications.

The EasyMatrixCode and EasyQRCode provide fast and reliable detection and decoding of 2D codes. They also compute code quality indicators as per ANSI/AIM, ISO/IEC 15415, ISO/IEC TR 29158 or SEMI T10-0701 standards. EasyOCR2 is an industrial Optical Character Recognition library. The latest version is powered by deep learning technologies with a pre-trained classifier suitable for reading industrial text marking fonts. Open eVision also provides sub-pixel measurement functions with EasyGauge (useful to measure liquid fill levels), surface and color inspection with EasyObject and EasyColor. Finally, the deep learning libraries will prove useful for complex and advanced inspection tasks such as contamination detection or safety seal inspection.

The Open eVision libraries are fully optimized and have processing speeds compatible with the fastest production lines. In particular, the Deep Learning libraries support not only standard CPUs, but also Nvidia CUDA-compatible GPUs. A single GPU typically accelerates the learning and processing phases by a factor of 100.

Euresys’ Open eVision libraries can be evaluated for free using the Open eVision Studio and Deep Learning Studio applications (available from our web site at www.euresys.com).
