SUNNYVALE, Calif., June 8, 2016 — Socionext America Inc. has announced an evaluation solution package for its 360° WAV system, expanding its use for automotive and nonautomotive applications.

The WAV system uses forward-, backward-, left- and right-facing cameras to synthesize images on a 3D model, then generate the views around the vehicle. This ability is useful for parking assistance and other applications such as lane changes while driving and enhancing situational awareness for operators of all vehicles.
