COMMACK, N.Y., Aug. 18, 2011 — Unitron Ltd. has released its Examet-4 series microscopes. The industrial metallurgical microscopes are designed for production lines, materials science applications, metal manufacturing and metallurgy.
With semiapochromatic M Infinity Plan optics, an ergonomic design and digital capabilities, they are available with either reflected illumination or reflected and transmitted illumination.
Standard features include a 360° rotatable viewing head with a 30° incline; a trinocular viewing head with 20/80 split (light distribution 100% binocular, binocular/trinocular 20%/80%); WF Plan 10× eyepieces with a 22-mm field of view; an interpupillary distance adjustment range of 54 to 75 mm; and a reversed quintuple nosepiece.
Other features include long-working-distance M Infinity Plan achromat 5×, 10× and 20× objectives; a long-working-distance M Infinity semiplan apochromat 50× objective; a low-position coaxial focusing system with tension adjustment; and a mechanical stage measuring 175 × 145 mm with a 76 (X) × 42-mm (Y) movement range.
On reflected models, specimens of a height of up to 50 mm can be observed and, on reflected/transmitted models, up to 30 mm. Reflected/transmitted models are equipped with a 12-V 50-W halogen transmitted illuminator with a field diaphragm.
All models have a 3-W variable LED reflected illuminator with a field and aperture diaphragm and operate from a universal power supply between 90 and 240 V.
Optional accessories include digital cameras and adapters; a polarizer/analyzer; yellow, blue, green, red or neutral density filters; and reticles and stage micrometers.
