OYAMA, Japan, June 28, 2016 — Gigaphoton Inc. has announced the Giganex series of excimer lasers for annealing.

By incorporating ultracompact laser annealing process characteristics into the existing amorphous silicon (a-Si) panel manufacturing process, crystallizing the a-Si into poly-silicon (p-Si), enabling the manufacture of detailed panels.

The new process is also suited to larger panel production, supporting the creation of 50- to 70-in. TV panels in large-scale manufacturing plants.
