Expanded Coating Capabilities Precision Glass & Optics has expanded its coating capabilities with a new custom-made 72-in. computer-controlled vacuum deposition system that can coat four 24-in.-diameter substrates at once. This offers potentially great cost savings when we can scribe and break or machine the parts after coating to your final dimensions.

Many of our coated substrates are in stock, on the shelf and ready for final fabrication, which can often be done in a matter of days, or even hours in some emergency situations.

Some of our standard coatings include antireflection, hot and cold mirrors, beamsplitters, polarizers, max-R and various metal mirrors, with most of these immediately available on substrates of various thicknesses.

Additionally, our new Hi-Tech division can produce precision prisms, flats, light pipes, windows and filters to 10-5, λ/20 and 1 arc sec, which can also be coated to your specifications if required.
