Larson Electronics’ Magnalight has released an explosion-proof LED light fixture with UL certification and a Class 1, Division 1 and 2, and a Class 2, Division 1 and 2, rating. The 4-ft-long four-lamp LED light fixture replaces traditional fluorescent fixtures and provides more light with less power consumption and enhanced durability, as well as better contrast and good color rendering. The EPL-48-4L-LED light fixture is suitable for petrochemical processing, offshore marine operations and paint spray booths. The corrosion-resistant housing, constructed of copper-free aluminum alloy, and the four LED lamps enclosed within impact- and heat-resistant Pyrex tubes are durable and can withstand the rigors of marine and industrial applications. By using LED tubes instead of fluorescent bulbs, the company has reduced fixture weight and maintenance issues.
