IRVINE, Calif., May 28, 2014 — The compact FCR100 rotation stage from Newport Corporation features a stepper motor with an integrated controller and driver, simplifying cable management and eliminating setup through iPP technology.

The FCR100 is controlled from the user’s computer via a GUI with ASCII commands and a full set of LabView drivers. Up to four Newport FC stages can be daisy-chained and controlled through a single GUI.

Incorporating crossed roller bearings and a flexible pre-loaded, backlash-free worm screw drive, the stage minimizes positional errors with a load capacity of 300 N and an absolute accuracy of 0.04°.
