ROCHESTER, N.Y., Aug. 9, 2012 — FluxData Inc.’s common-aperture multispectral short-wavelength infrared (SWIR) camera, the FD-3SWIR, offers three InGaAs sensors fitted with customer-specified optical filters to simultaneously capture subpixel aligned video through a single-aperture lens.

The camera features Goodrich Sensors Unlimited’s SUI C-Platform, which delivers 640 × 512-pixel resolution with a 15-μm pitch. The Camera Link digital output offers plug-and-play connectivity, 12-bit imagery for viewing, and digital processing and/or transmission. The uncooled SWIR detector images in real-time video at 30 Hz and operates without temperature stabilization, using nonuniformity corrections parameterized over temperatures. It also provides onboard automatic gain control.

The SWIR C-platform covers the 0.9- to 1.7-μm spectral range, and an optional near-infrared camera model extends the spectral response from 0.7 to 1.7 μm. The camera operates in temperatures from −35 to 71 °C. Total power consumption is 4.5 W.

The flexibility of FluxData’s multisensor system, along with the small size of the C-platform, allows for many new spectral and polarimetric configurations for various applications and payloads. FluxData will work with customers to design a purpose-built configuration that meets their specific requirements.
