Alliance Fiber Optics Products Inc. has released its fused fiber couplers. Using the company's Fuse-Lock process technology, the Ultra Grade series of coupler components offer low excess loss and polarization dependence loss and have what Alliance says is one of the flattest bandpasses in the 1310- and 1550- nm wavelength regions. The couplers are designed for good performance in all standard coupling ratios and also can be custom made.
