Trotec.jpgTrotec Laser Inc.’s SpeedMarker FL, an ytterbium fiber laser for high-speed industrial product marking, operates at speeds up to 1000 characters per second. The compact, galvanometer-based device may be used to mark all metals and to change color on plastics. It can be used on both blank and coated metals and on untreated as well as coated plastics. The laser provides 10 to 20 W of output power at 1062 nm. The heat- and chemical-resistant marking process is sterile, making the device suitable for use on medical products such as implants.
