Omega Optical has introduced filter sets for fluorescence microscopy applications. Seven sets with 3rd Millennium filters, 12 sets for M-FISH, sets for three quantum dots and multiphoton components are offered. The company says the 3rd Millennium filters are available in superbright sets for seven standard fluorophores and provide 50% improvement in signal and signal-to-noise. The FISH filters include sets designed for 13 fluorophore groups to maximize multicolor labeling, and the quantum dot filters are designed for applications that use fluorescent nanocrystals.
