FLUORESCENCE FILTERS Semrock Inc. has enhanced its BrightLine fluorescence filter family with the addition of three sets created for use with UV-excitation sources. The four-filter Fura-2 set minimizes crosstalk and background noise in fast ratiometric Ca2+ imaging applications. A low-noise, high-sensitivity filter set for the blue fluorophores DAPI and Hoechst delivers high brightness and a high signal-to-noise ratio. A five-filter DAPI/FITC/Texas Red "Pinkel" set is suitable for high-speed imaging of blue, green and red fluorophores, using a low-noise monochrome camera.
