ALLENTOWN, Pa., April 1, 2010 — The FL and SemiChill series recirculating coolers from Julabo USA Inc. provide a wide range of liquid cooling/heating capabilities for applications in the semiconductor, laser and photonics industries. The 22 models in the FL Series provide up to 20 kW of cooling power and operate from -20 to 40 °C with temperature stability of ±0.05 °C. Options include air or water-cooling and pump variations. All units include RS-232 outputs.

Models in the series feature easy filling from the top, a level indicator, immersion pumps, recessed grips and wheels for easy transport, low liquid level protection with an audible alarm, and overload protection for the pump motor and compressor. Other features include circulating pumps at up to 60 liters/min, an adjustable bypass for pump pressure, an early warning function to indicate the need for condenser cleaning and stainless steel bath tanks.

Applications include rotary evaporators, autoclaves, reaction vessels, vacuum systems, gas chromatographs, spectrometers, diffusion pumps, mass spectrometers and scanning electron microscopes. They also are suitable for use with lasers, mills and kneaders, and pilot plants, and in the plastics and packaging industries, and for drying of gases.

The customizable SemiChill series offers five models with up to 10 kW of cooling power. Users can specify the temperature range (maximum -20 to 130 °C), pump capacity, heating power (to 12 kW), control electronics and in-line filter options. The instruments feature gasket-free immersion pumps and a 70-mm-diameter sealed filling port. In the semiconductor industry, their uses include etching tools, stainless steel chucks, physical vapor deposition, sputtering and wet benches. Other applications include the packaging and plastic industries, dosing and gluing techniques, jacketed reaction vessels, kilo labs and pilot plants.

All models in the SemiChill series feature a splash-proof keypad, three-point calibration, pump capacity adjustable in stages, an early warning system for low level and high and low temperature limits, high temperature cut-off adjustable via display, low liquid level protection with a cut-off function and online diagnosis via an integrated black box.
