FLex Fiber Optic Polisher

KrellTech has released the FLex fiber optic polishing system for R&D laboratory applications including the processing of waveguides, planar lightwave circuits, optical chips and fiber arrays.

Components can be polished with flat or angled edges, and the polished surface geometry is controlled by a proprietary independent suspension and optically aligned workholder mechanism. A microfeed feature automatically lowers the waveguide to the polishing surface at a controlled rate for accurate stock removal, minimizing breakage.

The system can support processing of two components simultaneously. Custom holding fixtures are available.
