THE WOODLANDS, Texas, Nov. 29, 2012 — Rigaku Corp. has introduced the FR-X, a rotating anode x-ray source used in structural biology and materials science that produces the highest usable x-ray flux available to the laboratory researcher.

It provides 20% more flux compared with the previous model, and a new direct-drive anode design reduces maintenance expense. It has a dual-port design and an optional dual-wavelength anode.
