A high-resolution frame grabber that acquires analog RGB, digital video interface and composite video signals has been introduced by Unigraf Oy. The UFG-01 grabs video images with up to 1600 x 1200 pixels at 24-bit color resolution in one frame without movement artifacts. The images can be displayed in the window of a PC workstation or stored on a hard disk. Stored image memory requirements can be reduced with data compression software, which accommodates Windows NT/2000 and Linux. This software can support up to four frame grabbbers in one system. Applications include black boxes, data loggers, test and measurement systems, and distance learning and surveillance.
