Matrox Imaging's Helios XCL Camera Link frame grabber supports video capture rates of up to 680 MB/s and is available in two configurations. The device is programmed with the hardware-independent Matrox Imaging Library and features the Oasis ASIC, which integrates a PCI-X controller, a pixel accelerator and a main memory controller. PCI-X bus technology allows a 64-bit connection at speeds up to 133 MHz for a peak bandwidth of up to 1 GB/s. The pixel accelerator comprises an array of 64 processing elements that work in parallel and that process up to 1.6 billion pixels per second.
