Epix.jpgEpix Inc. has introduced the Pixci EC1 ExpressCard/54 frame grabber that supports notebook computers and all full-, medium- and base-configuration Camera Link cameras with bandwidth requirements of ≤191 MB/s. It offers a 250-MB/s burst rate, 204-MB/s sustained data rates, 64-bit memory addressing, line scan or area scan, and camera frame rate and triggered image sequence capture. The RoHS-compliant plug-and-play device is compatible with 34-/64-bit Windows and Linux platforms. Images can be stored in the motherboard memory or directly to the hard drive.
