WATERLOO, Ontario, Canada, Sept. 12, 2012 — Teledyne Dalsa has launched a line of 60-million-pixel, large-format full-frame CCD image sensors.

The FTF9168 image sensors produce high resolution using commercially available lenses. Available in RGB-Bayer color and monochrome versions, the image sensors are used in fabric and artwork reproduction, document scanning and aerial photogrammetry.

Features include a 54 × 40 mm2 optical format, a >95% fill factor, good antiblooming, microlenses with a wide angular response, high sensitivity, a dynamic range of >70 dB, a data rate of up to 25 MHz per output (four outputs) and RoHS compliance.

The company has created a camera reference design (evaluation kit) and application note that will help users get the best imaging performance out of the sensors.
