FTIR SpectrometerThe SPECTRE ultra-broadband Fourier-transform infrared (FTIR) spectrometer from Pro-Lite Technology Ltd. provides measurements over the entire VIS-MWIR wavelength range from 0.45 to 4.2 μm.

The VIS-SWIR version is designed for the 0.45- to 3.0-μm range. The VIS-MWIR version is designed for the 0.5- to 4.2-μm range. SPECTRE provides a high resolution of 3 nm at 1 μm, extending to 60 nm at 4 μm. Fast, interferometric optics means a quick acquisition time ranging from 170 ms in low-resolution mode up to 1 s in high-resolution mode.

Its combination of a wide spectral range, fast acquisition times, high spectral resolution and high sensitivity allows SPECTRE to move FTIR spectrometry out of the lab and into a variety of new applications. Applications include materials analysis, light sources, food, and the reflectance spectroscopy of objects of cultural heritage.
