BrukerOptics.jpgBruker Optics Inc. has added the Vertex 80 to its family of Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectrometers. It uses the linear air bearing UltraScan interferometer with True-Alignment technology to provide good stability and better than 0.07 cm–1 optical resolution. The spectral range can be extended from the very far IR up to the UV. Versatility is assured by automated multidetector and multi-source selection, along with software control of up to two external beam input ports and up to five beam exit ports. It also offers optional step-scan and rapid-scan capabilities of more than 100 spectra per second.
