Interspectrum OU has released the Interspec 310 series compact
portable Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectrometers. The quality control and
safety analyzers are suitable for standard laboratory measurements and for detecting
and identifying hazardous substances in the field. They are sensitive in the spectral
region from 400 to 7000 cm–1, with spectral resolution of 2 cm–1. The spectrometers
have a small footprint, occupying a space measuring 21 x 22 cm and weighing about
9 kg. They offer wide sampling flexibility, enabling analysis of solid and liquid
samples in transmission, attenuated total reflection and reflection modes. They
communicate via USB and operate at 12 V, 30 W.
